Lake Obabika Lodge
Lake Obabika Lodge is a rare gem nestled in the pristine wilderness of Northeastern Ontario. Meticulously hand crafted with the finest materials, this resort is certain to please the most discriminating guests.
Located on the shores of Obabika Lake, the property comprises approx. 10.28 +/- acres of deeded (owned) land and has approx. 718’ +/- of spectacular water frontage. The lodge features world class remote wilderness tucked into the Temagami forest lands. Obabika Lodge is the only resort facility on the lake. The lake is approx. 32 km long & reaches maximum depths (on the north end) of 130’+/-. The lake sports several sandy beaches and is surrounded by crown land and majestic old growth forests. The beach at the lodge extends almost 500’ along the shoreline.
The fishery on Obabika Lake consists of Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Whitefish & Lake Trout.
The lodge is road access and is off-grid. Hydro is supplied by generator. The property is zoned Tourist Commercial (TC) in the Municipality of Temagami. It’s rare to find a remote lodge that you can drive to such as this. A full-compliment of chattels & equipment are included with this offering.
Electricity is provided by 2 main generators (14,000 kW & 65,000 kW) plus a portable 5 kW and a 32 volt battery bank. The battery banks provide Obabika Lodge with the ability to turn off the generators in order to save on fuel costs. The site portions taken up by the chalets are landscaped and connected to each other and the main lodge complex by a beautiful composite boardwalk. A floating dock that provides 14 boat slips is positioned mid-way along the sandy beach.
The main lodge is a 1 3/4 story wood frame building that combines a restaurant, commercial grade kitchen, a front bar area, a lounge inside the main building area, an office and a full partially finished basement area and a beautiful 5 bedroom owners quarters on the second floor. The basement level is divided into a utility/laundry area, a lower level lounge and store room. The exterior of the building is finished in a quality log siding and sports a steel roof. The building was constructed in 1988. The quality of the workmanship is second to none!
This freestanding 1 story building is a frame construction log clad structure. Again, a steel roof is incorporated. There is a two piece washroom. The flooring is parquet hardwood and the ceiling is intractably designed with wood panels that show off the workmanship found throughout the facility. Additionally, there is a stone-faced wood fireplace found here.
