Esnagami Wilderness Lodge & Outpost Camps has been well recognized in the tourist industry in Northern Ontario as a Premiere quality fly-in fishing business.  The Lund family has owned & operated the business for over three decades and have developed a solid reputation for a very high level of customer service to their guests.  Being the only lodge on an extensive water system, the fishery is outstanding!  Combine that with comfortable accommodation, excellent cuisine & dining and well-trained dedicated staff members and you have a recipe for success.  Your fly-in fishing trip begins early Saturday morning, starting with a scenic 15-minute float plane trip from the dock in Nakina, Ontario. You will depart the lodge the following Friday, right after breakfast.  5-day, 4-day and 3-day packages are also available.

The Lodge offers both American Plan & Housekeeping packages.  There are 11 guest cabins at the main lodge in addition to two remote outpost camps.  Esnagami Lake is home to trophy Walleye & Northern Pike.  Hundreds of Northern Pike (30” to 48” +) & Walleye (24” to 30” +) are caught and released each year.  There is also an excellent Brook Trout fishery with many caught in the 2 to 6 pound range each season.  As a guest, you may want to try your hand at fly fishing for the Brookies.  Experienced professional guides are available to assist you if you so desire.  The natural abundance of fish here, combined with the 25-year Catch and Release Trophy program, ensures guests have an excellent chance at hooking the fish of a lifetime.

Wildlife abounds in this northern oasis and includes species such as moose, wolves, woodland caribou, black bears, eagles, loons, arctic terns amongst many others.  It’s truly a nature lover’s paradise.

The lodge utilizes well-equipped beautiful 18’ Geisler cedar strip boats with dependable Mercury outboard motors which helps enhance the incredible fishing experience the lodge has to offer.  Esnagami Lake hosts 120 miles of shoreline, over 200 islands and 18,000 acres of pristine waterways.

You may choose to use the full American Plan Package and enjoy scrumptious home-cooked meals in the beautiful dining room each day or opt for a Housekeeping Package and do your own cooking.  The fully furnished cabins are complete with hot and cold running water, three-piece washrooms, electricity, and includes comfortable beds, linens, towels and bedding.  The housekeeping cabins are equipped with a refrigerator, stove & oven, pots, pans, cooking utensils and a gas grill for barbecuing.  The main lodge offers satellite TV, Wi-Fi, comfortable couches and a camp store for guest convenience.  Fishing tackle, beverages, snacks and lodge sportswear are available for purchase.

Infrastructure:

The owners cottage consists of a 24’ X 36’ A-frame style frame building complete with log siding.  There are 3 bedrooms plus a loft, 3 piece washroom and heated by propane & wood.  A 20’ X 12’ deck overlooks the water.

Hillside Cabin:  Duplex log cottage with adjoining front deck, steel roofing, two 2-person sides, 2 beds, 3 piece bath, combined living room/bedroom, wood laminate flooring, propane in each side, sleeps up to 5.

Bullwinkle Cabin:  Log cottage with front deck, steel roofing, 2 beds, 3 piece bath, combined living room/bedroom, wood laminate flooring, propane heat, sleeps up to 2.

Spruce Lodge:  Log cottage with front deck, ondura roofing, 2 + 1 beds, 3 piece, bath, combined living room/bedroom, wood laminate flooring, propane heat, sleeps up to 3.

Lakeview Cabin:  Frame cottage with wrap around deck, steel roofing, 2 beds, 3 piece bath, combined living room/bedroom, wood laminate flooring, propane heat, sleeps up to 2.

Lodge Room:  Log cottage with front deck, steel roofing, 2 beds, 3 piece bath, combined living room/bedroom, wood laminate flooring, propane heat, sleeps up to 2.

Main Lodge:  Log structure, fully integrated main lodge with sofas, arm chairs, table for playing cards, fly tying area, satellite television, store, wood stove, many decorations, storage room, internet.

Commercial Kitchen:  Fully equipped log structure with propane 6 burner full size oven, 4 burner full size oven, flat top, commercial microwave, commercial ice machine, 2 X commercial Bunn coffee makers, 2 chest freezers, 1 upright freezer, 3 full size fridges, 6’ X 6’ walk-in cooler, numerous pots, pans etc., commercial dish sanitizer, commercial stainless counters & sinks, food prep appliances, staff dining area.

Dining Room:  Log cabin dining room with vaulted ceiling & loft, custom-made pine chairs and tables for up to 38 guests, large propane fireplace, decorations through-out, custom-made desert table, internet.

Main Dock Workshop:  Fully equipped with power & cordless tools (see chattel for full details of inclusions).

Fish Cleaning Cabin:  Log structure with stainless steel packing table, full length fish cleaning table, fridge, 2 freezers, storage shelving and fish pole racks.

Storage Shed #1:  Frame cabin ample sized storage shed fully stocked with hardware and building supplies.

Storage Shed #2:  Frame cabin storage for kitchen equipment and supplies, freezer, shelving, small fridge, 7KW stand-by generator.

Water Intake shed:  Ministry of Health approved water treatment system including 5 sediment filters, 3” “Big Blue” micron filters, 2 ultraviolet water treatment systems, 1 submersible water pump, 1 jet pump wired for 220, fully automated system.

Laundry Room/Food Storage (attached to main lodge):  Oversized washer & dryer, multiple storage shelves, linens for 2 complete 40 guest change-overs, cleaning product inventory, 2 piece bath.

Generator Cabin:  20 KW John Deere diesel gen-set (2002) and 20 KW Kubota gen-set (rebuilt in 2022), commercial power switch station, generator parts & service tools.

Staff Cabins:  The guide cabin accommodates 6, the wait-staff cabin accommodates 4, the cook cabin accommodates 2 and there is an extra cabin that can accommodate 1.

Esnagami lodge currently employs & accommodates 6 fishing guides/maintenance staff, 3-4 wait-staff/housekeepers, 1 dinner cook and 1 breakfast cook/baker.
